FACHADA is an annual art project by .insofar directed to the public space, under the coordination of Hugo Carvalho and artistic direction of Inês Valle. Through invitation or competition, an artist is selected to develop a temporary site-specific work for the gallery building’s façade and an art personality is invited to write a reflection on the work. A project the aims are to challenge stereotypes and to refound the artist-work-public correlations.

This publication presents the first edition of the project where Isaque Pinheiro developed the installation “ A Malha” in co-production with ArtWorks - the partner of this edition - an organization that has an experimental and collaborative attitude with creators from several artistic areas. A Malha consists of 155 sculptures, having the reflection in essays written by João Silvério and Fábio Gomes Raposo.
